After making a mark with hit shows on the small screen, producer Ekta Kapoor made successful films like "Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai", "Shootout at Lokhandwala" and the blockbuster " The Dirty Picture", but believes her home banner Balaji Motion Pictures is too young to have earned the trust of the audiences completely.
"I don't think we have still built that reputation where people will automatically assume that a Balaji film will be very entertaining. So I am hoping that when three to four more films release, the audience will trust the banner more," Ekta said.
"No one comes to watch Balaji films. The tickets priced at Rs.100 and Rs.200 are too much. People take it out from their budget, and youngsters from their pockets. They don't come for a brand name. In films, we are only two-and-a-half years old honestly, before that we were doing one-offs as a company," added the 37-year-old.
