Katrina Kaif may be busy promoting the late Yash Chopra’s last directorial venture, Jab Tak Hai Jaan (JTHJ), where she plays one of the two female leads opposite Shah Rukh Khan. But she still managed to eke out half a day to fly to Ajmer Sharif and offer her prayers. It’s a routine she follows before the release of all her films.
A source close to the actor reveals that she flew to Ajmer on Monday night (November 5), after wrapping up her media interactions for the day at Yash Raj Studios. “She took a chartered flight toAjmer with her manager. She wanted to offer her prayers during the first hour of Tuesday,” says the source, further adding, “However tied up she might be with shooting or promotions, she makes sure she visits the dargah ahead of every release.”
At the time of going to press, we were informed that she would be back by Tuesday afternoon, resuming promotions for the film. “She is supposed to visit a few radio stations on Tuesday evening,” says the source.
Earlier this month, the actor was in Dehradun, and had initially planned to visit Ajmer from there. “She went to Dehradun to attend Ali Abbas Zafar’s (who directed the 2011 Katrina-starrer Mere Brother Ki Dulhan) brother’s marriage. But she didn’t find the time to visit Ajmer then,” says the source.
