After 10 years and more than 30 film later, Tujhe Meri Kasam, the movie Riteish Deshmukh debuted with, is very close to his heart for more than the obvious reasons. Despite for the fact that he is more known for his roles in sex comedies like Masti and Kya Kool Hain Hum. For, the actor met his future wife, Genelia D'Souza on the sets of this movie only.
Incidently, Tujhe Meri Kasam was also the Bollywood debut of Genelia, who later turned towards Southern film industry after failing to make an impact until her first big Hindi hit Jane Tu Ya Jaane Naa opposite Imran Khan in 2008. Ritesh and Genelia got married earlier this year after a courtship of almost 10 years.
Riteish recently observed completing almost 10 years in the film industry in a series of tweets on a microblogging website. "Its almost 10 yrs since d release of my debut film Tujhe Meri kasam-still shown at Maharashtra theatres(sic)," Riteish tweeted, followed by ,"I have been told by trade pundits that Tujhe Meri kasam has d maximum re runs in comparison to other films like Dhamaal-Housefull-Hey Baby."
Also, he didn't forgot to include his better half in the celebrations by tweeting, Tujhe Meri kasam is spl coz its my debut film n that's where i met d woman of my life-my baiko," amid a stream of congratulatory messages from fans and well wishers alike. Now that is what we call a super kool fan following!
