Jab Tak Hai Jaan to be banned in Pakistan?

Director Yash Chopra's last film -- the Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jab Tak Hai Jaan -- may not release in Pakistan since it will see the superstar play the role of an armyman involved in an operation in Kashmir.

The trailer of the film has already been stopped from being screened on various Pakistani TV channels, the Express Tribune reported.

The Ministry of National Regulation and Services has denied reviewing any content related to the film.

"We have received no application to review the content," the newspaper quoted Iftikhar Durrani, adviser to the Ministry of National Regulation and Services, as saying.

He also denied any reports suggesting that the trailer has been banned, saying, "There is a Standard Operating Procedure for trailers to be banned and most distributors never risk their capital on it."

Veer-Zaara, Chopra's second last film released in 2004, was also banned because it revolved around an Indian pilot played by Shah Rukh, who falls in love with a Pakistani girl, essayed by Preity Zinta
Recently, Saif Ali  Khan-Kareena Kapoor starrer Agent Vinod and Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif's Ek Tha Tiger were not cleared for screening in Pakistan as both involved the protagonists as RAW agents.
Jab Tak Hai Jaan also stars Katrina Kaif [] and Anushka Sharma and will release this Diwali on November 13.
